The Recap Brain is an entity which first appears in Issue 40 of the Invader Zim comic series.
Summary
As Recap Kid is recapping the events of Issue 39, the hyperactive child is suddenly sucked through a portal into the space between universes, where soon meet the Recap Brain, a giant living brain which observes and recaps events across the multiverse (like Rosalina from the Mario video game franchise).
As Recap Kid's presence is the result of a "cosmic mistake", Recap Brain attempts to send the child back to its own universe, only to find that neither of them knows which one it is. The two then view multiple universes to try and find the right one. None are correct, however, and the Recap Brain grows increasingly annoyed by Recap Kid's reactions to the universes that they look at.
Eventually, the Recap Brain hits its breaking point with Recap Kid after it was declared that since Zim and Dib are in all the universes seen so far, that they must be the center of everything, despite the Recap Brain pointing out there are "gazillions" of universes in which they don't even exist. It gets so annoyed by this that it selects a universe at random and sends Recap Kid there. Seemingly unbeknownst to the Recap Brain, this is actually the correct universe, and Recap Kid ends up back home.
Facts of Doom
- Recap Brain is most likely an alternate version of Recap Kid, judging by the similar name, wearing a similar red hoodie, and similar style of hair sticking out of it.
- Recap Brain is apparently obsessed with universes where Zim and Dib are giant trash hobos, as it shows Recap Kid several of these, differentiated from each other only by the hats they're wearing.
- Recap Brain resembles one of the alien members of the Resisty, who is also a brain using a robotic body, this seems to suggest that they’re both from the same species and that there are many “Recap Kids” across the multiverse but from different alien races.
