The Membracelets are an invention of Professor Membrane that appear in Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus.
Summary
In celebration of Peace Day, Professor Membrane creates the Membracelets, bracelet devices which harness the power generated by children to use as a power source.
He intends on having children wearing them form a human chain around the world as a demonstration of what they're capable of.
However, Zim hijacks Membrane's demonstration, kidnapping the Professor and replacing the Membracelets with versions modified with alien technology. Once the human chain is completed, he has Minimoose charge the Membracelets with cosmic energy.
Inside the Membracelets.
This allowed Zim to use them to transport Earth across the universe, placing it directly in the path of the Irken Armada, so that the Almighty Tallest will have no choice but to conquer it.
As a side effect of this act, a spatial anomaly called a Florpus Hole is opened, which threatens to destroy the planet. After Dib and Gaz manage to rescue their father from Moo-Ping 10 and return him to Earth, they fight Zim for Minimoose. Upon getting him, Dib and Gaz make the children with the Membracelets form the human chain again, while the Professor configures Minimoose to charge them again.
The Membracelets then activate, transporting Earth back to its proper place before either the Armada or the Florpus can destroy it.
Facts of Doom
- The Membracelets are one of the three inventions of Professor Membrane's that Zim has used to try and take over the world, the other two being the Temporal Object Displacement Device and the Perpetual Energy Generator.
